Description of the work in partner programmes

Norway

R&D Programme WOOD (2006-2011), a joint initiative between Innovation Norway and The Research Council of Norway; The R&D programme Wood has the following four thematic priority target areas:

  • increased market knowledge
  • better wood materials and wood products
  • sustainable forest production
  • improved profitability in the value chains.

Co-operation with enterprises and R&D communities abroad will be of increasing importance. The programme will therefore have an international perspective and consequently focus actively on international research and international cooperation. International mobility in the projects will be important. This applies to both research stays for Norwegian research fellows and researchers at foreign R&D institutions and stays for foreign researchers in Norway.
