• Green Materials from renewable resources (2003-2007), VINNOVA
  VINNOVA plans to stimulate multi-disciplinary, problem-oriented research and to cooperate with other research funding agencies in order to establish research platforms within this area, for example composite and fibre technology, enzyme technology and biopolymers. VINNOVA also intends to initiate the development of demonstrators, which will show how the results of research can be turned into products and processes. One important issue is then to involve the industry at an early stage, in order to ensure effective cooperation between the research and business communities.

• Wood Manufacturing (2003-2007), VINNOVA
  VINNOVA will work to promote consensus amongst the important actors in the wood manufacturing innovation system. The participation in the innovation system of those actors who are closer to market level is of great importance. VINNOVA will contribute to the development of strong innovation environments for wood-based building systems and the use of wood in interiors in the home and the local environment, which will fulfil consumers´ demands for entertainment and sustainable development.
  The objective is to double the amount of processing at a national level over the next decade, primarily in molecular wood-based building systems and functional interior solutions using large amounts of processed wood.
