Seminar 4-5 April 2017

FINAL SEMINAR OF THE 4TH JOINT CALL OF WOODWISDOM-NET RESEARCH PROGRAMME

Date: Tuesday 4th – Wednesday 5th of April, 2017
Place: The Royal Botanic Garden Edinburgh, Scotland

The 9th in a series of programme seminars was held on 4-5 April 2017 at the Royal Botanic Garden in Edinburgh, Scotland.

This public seminar brought together around 100 researchers and stakeholders from industry, academia and policy-making organisations in the forest-based sector. It was the final seminar of the 4th Joint Call for Proposals (2013) of WoodWisdom-Net. A copy of updated project descriptions is available here (distributed at the seminar).

The objectives of the seminar were to discuss the final results from the 23 projects of the call, facilitate information exchange and networking between projects and their stakeholders, and to gain feedback and ideas for the further development of the WoodWisdom-Net Programme.

In 2006 the ERA-Net WoodWisdom-Net initiated the joint transnational WoodWisdom-Net Research Programme. Resulting from all four joint calls (in 2006, 2010, 2011 and 2013) in total 62 transnational research projects, amounting to ca. 85M€, have been jointly funded by the WoodWisdom-Net partners so far.

WoodWisdom-Net and the Forestry Commission/ Forestry Commission Scotland as event organisers and hosts would like to express sincere thanks to all participants.

The presentations are available below. You can also view and download the seminar invitation letter including the programme and information on registration, travel details, accommodation and contact persons here: PDF.
